Book Launch Invitation, general public.jpg

Southeast Seniors with arts educator Anne Sawyer announce the launch of A Nest in My Heart, a new book and podcast culminating from a series of memoir writing classes with older adults. With a vision to celebrate the rich tapestry of Minnesota life and uplift the voices of its seasoned residents, this project invited participants to embark on a journey of self-expression and reminiscence. Memoir writing classes empowered a group of seniors to learn the art of memoir writing and create short written pieces about their lives in Minnesota which are now published in the book and recorded for the podcast.

The book and podcast share a poignant glimpse into the lived history of a generation of Minnesotans, the power of storytelling, and the resilience of our elders.
